CHENNAI (12.05.2026): There is neither BJP Chief Minister in Tamil Nadu nor a so-called conservative Hindu ruling the state but C Joseph Vijay, who sworn-in as the state CM on May 11, 2026, has appointed astrologer Rickey Radhan Pandit Vettrivel as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Minister (Political).
The order stated that “Thiru Rickey Radhan Pandit Vettrivel is appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Chief Minister (Political) with effect from the date of joining,” adding that detailed terms and conditions would be issued separately. He was the one who predicted Vijay coming to power a year ago.
The appointment order was issued following a note from the Chief Minister’s Office dated May 12. Rickey Radhan Pandit is widely known in political circles as an astrologer associated with Vijay and has reportedly been seen alongside the actor-turned-politician during key political and personal events in recent years.
