If some top sources are to be believed Navneet Rajan Vasan (IPS:AP:1980) may shortly be appointed as Director General, BPRD (Bureau of Police Research & Development). Vasan is presently serving as Special DG, NIA.
The post has been running vacant after Rajan Gupta (IPS:PB:1978) superannuated on March 31. The additional charge of DG, BPRD has been with Rajeev Ranjan Verma (IPS:BH:1978) since April 01, 2015. If Vasan makes it he will have tenure till November 30 this year.
