The Centre appears keen to strike a balance between extending lockdown and restart economic activity as back to back meeting is taking place to discuss every minor detail to implement the government plan that the PM will explain on April 14 at 10 am.

PM Modi is well aware of people being his side and economy downward sliding with GDP predicted to be between 1.5 to 2.5, restarting economic activity could be the only option.

Two letters issued -- one by secretary DPIIT Dr. Guruprashad Mohapatra (Union Secretary, DPIIT)  and another by Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla -- clearly indicate the government wants to start some of the industrial and business activities by taking every safety measure and home ministry requesting every stakeholders to cooperate in this.

Reportedly, the government is also trying to fathom the response of the people by their reaction. The government is preparing itself to bring laborers back to work in factories and in the industry by special trains and vehicles as there are many industries that need to be started.

Letter from DPIIT secretary enlists in detail about industries that can be started. There is every detail about the industry that can be started which indicates that the government started early preparations.

There is a devil and deep sea like situation for the PM but the government has to look from limited options with it. Most of the ministers are in the office with their officers, the intention of the government seems to be clear but let's wait what PM has in mind.
