Gaku Nakanishi is appointed as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Honda Cars India (HCIL). In a statement issued on Monday, the company also said that it has appointed two new directors to spearhead its sales and marketing operations. While Rajesh Goel has been appointed as Senior Vice-President and Director, Sales and Marketing, Makoto Hyoda has been appointed as Director, Sales and Marketing. Goel replaces Jnaneswar Sen who had been serving the company for around 12 years. Nakanishi was previously President and CEO of Honda Automobile (Thailand) since 2015. "In view of the company's aggressive plans for the Indian market in future, HCIL has appointed Rajesh Goel as Senior Vice President and Director, Sales and Marketing. Goel is a Honda veteran with an association of more than 22 years with Honda Cars India," the company said in a statement. He joined HCIL in 1996 at the time of company's inception. Over the past 22 years, he has headed several critical functions in the company, including purchase and quality. Hyoda has been associated with Honda Motor for the last 22 years and has significant experience in the field of product planning, marketing, sales promotion and customer management, the company added.
