Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that two names have been recommended to ACC for appointment as non-executive Independent Director in HMT. Reportedly, Ms Renu Thapar and Ravindra Singh may be appointed as Independent Directors. Ms Thapar  hails from Punjab and has an MA degree in Hindi Literature whereas Ravindra Singh, MA in History, belongs to Uttar Pradesh. There are five subsidiary companies of HMT Limited  namely; HMT Machine Tools Ltd, HMT (International) Ltd, HMT Watches Ltd, HMT Chinar Watches Ltd, and HMT Bearing Ltd. There are two functional directors and two govt directors but none as non-official directors.
