Guru Prasad Mohapatra (IAS:1986:GJ), the newly appointed Chairman of Airports Authority of India, took charge today. He was empanelled as Additional Secretary (GoI) on 14 June and further appointed as AAI Chairman last week. He replaces R K Srivastava (IAS:1984:JH) who was removed unceremoniously from Chairman post on March 18 this year.
He served as Ahmedabad municipal commissioner for over three years and was appointed Joint Secretary in Union Ministry of Commerce after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister.
