As Indianmandarins had reported earlier Sandeep Mittal (IPS:1995:TN) took over as Joint Secretary (Security) Parliament last week. Earlier a panel comprising four IPS officers were recommended which was supposed to have been turned down after it failed to get clearance from Lok Sabha Secretariat and finally Mittal's name was cleared for the post.
He took over the charge from erstwhile JS Yogesh Deshmukh (IPS:1995:MP) who had completed his tenure under central deputation in the last week of February.
