
New Delhi (04.06.2025): Union Home Ministry, the Cadre controlling authority of Joint AGMUT Cadre of AIS officers, has disposed of the request of IAS and IPS officers of AGMUT cadre who sought to keep their transfers effected on 16.05.2025 in abeyance for a particular period of time on personal grounds mostly health contingency in the family.
The Union Home Ministry has disposed of all these cases by rejecting most and accepting just one. The cases of officers and their status are as follows:
- Delhi Police Commissioner on 23.05.2025 requested Union Home Ministry that B Shanker Jaiswal (IPS: 2001: AGMUT), who was transferred from Delhi to UT of Lakshadweep, to be retained in Delhi till 31.03.2026 as Nodal Officer for the Delhi Police Smart City project for his experience and expertise being necessary to ensure completion of the project. But the MHA asked that the officer concerned may be relieved from Delhi Police to enable him to take up his new assignment in the UT of Lakshadweep.
- Vivek Kumar Tripathi (IAS: 2018: AGMUT), who was transferred from Delhi to Mizoram, has been asked to join the Government of Mizoram in view of larger public interest after 05.09.2025. His representation dated 27.05.2025 for cancellation of his transfer to Mizoram has been decided and the IAS office has been retained in Delhi for a period of four months i.e. up to 05.09.2025.
- Choudhary Mohammad Yasin (IAS: 2015: AGMUT) who was transferred from Jammu & Kashmir to Puducherry, sought cancellation of his transfer order on humanitarian grounds on 20.05.2025. However, he has been asked to report to the Government of Puducherry immediately. He was asked that in case of any leave requirement owing to personal hardships, the same may be applied for in writing to the Competent Authority there.
- Ananth Dwivedi (IAS: 2021: AGMUT), who was transferred from Delhi to Jammu & Kashmir, requested that his transfer order may be kept in abeyance owing to the medical condition of his spouse on 24.05.2025. Dwivedi has been directed to report to the Government of Jammu & Kashmir immediately. He was asked that in case of any further leave requirement owing to personal hardships, he may apply in writing to the Competent Authority in the Government of J&K.
- Keshav Ram Chaurasia (IPS: 2003: AGMUT), who was transferred from Delhi to Goa, requested for cancellation of his transfer order on account of the medical condition of his son on 24.05.2025. He was directed to report to the Government of Goa immediately. In case of any leave requirement owing to personal hardships, the same may be applied for in writing to the Competent Authority in Government of Goa.
- Surendra Choudhary (IPS: 2013: AGMUT), who was transferred Delhi to Arunachal Pradesh, requested for keeping his transfer order in abeyance for six months on several grounds on 21.05.2025. He has been directed to report to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh immediately. In case of any leave requirement owing to personal hardship, the same may be applied for in writing to the Competent Authority in the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
- Anil Kumar Lal (IPS: 2013: AGMUT), who was transferred from DNH&DD to Puducherry, forwarded the representation for modification of his transfer order on account of the medical condition of his son on 21.05.2025. He has been directed to report to the Government of Puducherry immediately. In case of any further leave requirement owing to personal hardships, the same may be applied for in writing to the Competent Authority in the Government, of Puducherry.
- Mahima Madan (IAS: 2021: AGMUT), who was transferred from Delhi to Jammu & Kashmir, made two representations dated 19.05.2025 and 25.05.2025 requesting her transfer order to be kept in abeyance for one more year owing to personal hardship. But she has been asked to join office in J&K immediately and has further been asked that in case of any leave requirement owing to her personal hardships, the same may be applied for in writing to the Competent Authority in the Government of J&K.
