New Delhi (12.02.2026): The Appointments Committee of the
Cabinet has extended service of ldashisha Nongrang (IPS: 1992: AM), Director
General of Police, Meghalaya, for a period of 6 months beyond 19.05.2026. Nongrang took over the top post of the state police for a
period of two years on May 19, 2024. She is the first woman and tribal DGP of
