'Indianmandarins' has reliably learnt that the meeting for selection of Special Director, Enforcement Directorate (Delhi Zone) is expected to be held on June 23. Reportedly, 19 applicants are being considered in the final leg of the race. It was expected that Department of Revenue would expedite the selection procedures immediately after the appointment of CVC & VC would take place.
The post had fallen vacant since November 19, 2014 after Balesh Kumar (IRS C&CE:1987) repatriated to his cadre (CBDT). One would find the fact interesting that approx 75 applications were received for Delhi Zone (Spl Dir, ED) whereas for Chandigarh zone only 25 applicants had shown interest last year through their applications.
