New Delhi (13.09.2024): As Indianmandarins reported on August 30, 2024, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has appointed today Manisha Saxena (IAS: 1996: AGMUT), Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training, as Establishment Officer & Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training.The assignment is considered crucially important as the Establishment Officer also functions as Secretary to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet. She replaces Deepti Umashankar (IAS: 1993: HY) who is now Secretary to the President of India. Interestingly, very few know that prior to joining IAS she worked as Radio Presenter in Akashvani.
