New Delhi (22.11.2024): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has directed Director General of Police of the state Rajeev Kumar (IPS: 1989: WB) to initiate a complete reshuffle of the state CID in view of allegedly a section of police personnel indulging in corrupt practices. It is alleged that at times false complaints are lodged. The CM is of the view that If those are found to be genuine, strong action needs to be taken. Political interference needs to be discouraged.
