Maharashtra DGP commutes in public transport to reach the office

Mumbai (10.10.2021): It is very rare for an officer as senior as the Director-General of Police to commute in public transport. But Maharashtra DGP Sanjay Pandey (IPS: 1986: MH) takes public transport to work. Local trains of Mumbai are his preferred mode of commuting, however, which were interrupted by COVID-19 last year. After trains restarted in Mumbai, he hopped back on. Even after his elevation as DGP (in charge) Maharashtra, he would rather take the Borivali fast from Churchgate than his official car, to save himself the long wait in traffic.
