The outgoing Chief Secretary to the Govt of Maharashtra Swadheen Kshatriya (IAS:1980:MH) given extension in service for a period of one month beyond 31 January 2017. He is scheduled to superannuate tomorrow (31 Jan 2017). The Maha CM Devendra Phadanvis approved the orders yesterday in view of the ongoing civic and zilla parishad elections and ensuing budget session.
Kshatriya had taken over from J S Saharia (IAS:1978:MH) on July 31, 2014. Having got one month extension he will have a two year and three months long tenure as Maharashtra Chief Secretary ending 28th February this year.
