two weeks ahead of completion. It is also believed that establishment may not have been in a
mood to extend her tenure beyond December 04, 2019. Secondly, appointing a new
Secretary General in the midst of Winter Session (18.11.2019 to 14.12.2019) may
not be appropriate. Those in the know of the affairs say that in case of
non-extension of tenure a 1983 or 1984 batch IAS officer may be her successor
by November 18.
