Former DOPT Secretary Sanjay Kothari (IAS:1978:HY) appointed as new Chairman of Public Enterprises Selection Board. Kothari replaces Ajit Kumar Seth who completed his tenure as PESB Chairman on 24 November on attaining 65 years of age. As new chairman Kothari will lead the board comprising Ms Gauri Kumar, Madhusudan Prasad & Anshuman Das as members.
Kothari retired on June 30 this year from the post of Secretary, DOPT. He will have tenure as PESB Chairman up to 30 November 2019.
PESB is entrusted with selection and placement of the posts of chairman, managing director or chairman-cum-managing director and functional director of central public sector enterprises, among others.
