As Indianmandarins had reported couple of weeks earlier (web-link below) the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet on Friday endorsed the recommendations of Union Home Ministry and appointed news chiefs for Central Para-military Forces; CISF, NSG & NDRF. In addition; the ACC also cleared the appointment of Radha Krishna Kini (IPS:1981:BH) as Secretary (Security), Cabinet Secretariat; the supervising authority of Special Protection Group. Kini, current DG of National Crime Record Bureau, will replace M K Sinha (IPS:1980:UP) as Secretary (Security) on 01 October 2016. Further, Om Prakash Singh (IPS:1983:UP) has been appointed Director General of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Sudhir Pratap Singh (IPS:1983RJ) has been appointed as Director General of National Security Guard (NSG) whereas Ranjit Kumar Pachnanda (IPS:1983:WB) as Director General of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). One may call it a coincidence or irony as well; three batch-mates would head CISF, NSG & NDRF.
