The Kerala government announced to appoint Tom Jose (IAS:1984:KL) as the new Chief Secretary of the state. He will take over from Paul Antony (IAS:1982:KL) retiring on 30th of this month. Jose will retire in year 2020 thus having adequate time to remain on the turf.
Tom Jose is currently the Additional Chief Secretary of Labour and Skills, Water Resources and Taxes (Excise only) department. Prior to this, he was posted as the Managing Director of the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation and Kochi Metro Rail Ltd.
