
Thiruvananthapuram (19.05.2025): The Kerala government has effected reshuffle of IPS officers but this has been done in the partial modification of the previous Government Order. Some officers have been entrusted with additional charge. The names and new positions of these officers are as follows:
- M R Ajithkumar (IPS: 1995: KL), ADGP, who was appointed as Excise Commissioner, has been allowed to continue as Additional Director General of Police, Armed Police Battalions.
- Balram Kumar Upadhyaya (IPS: 1997: KL), ADGP, who was appointed as Director, KEPA, has been allowed to continue as Director General of Prisons & Correctional Services.
- Mahipal Yadav (IPS: 1997: KL), ADGP, who was appointed as Additional Director General of Police, Crimes, has been allowed to continue as Excise Commissioner.
- K Sethu Raman (IPS: 2004: KL), IGP, who was appointed as Inspector General of Police and Director General of Prisons & Correctional Services, has been allowed to continue as Inspector General of Police & Director, KEPA.
- P Prakash (IPS: 2004: KL), IGP, who was appointed as Inspector General of Police, Coastal Police, has been appointed as Inspector General of Police, State Crime Records Bureau.
- A Akbar (IPS:2005: KL), IGP, who was appointed as Inspector General of Police, Internal Security, has been posted as Inspector General of Police, Coastal Police.
- S Sreejith (IPS: 1996: KL), Additional Director General of Police, Headquarters, has been given full additional charge of the post of Additional Director General of Police, Cyber Operations.
- H Venkatesh (IPS: 1998: KL), Additional Director General of Police, Law & Order, has been given full additional charge of the post of Additional Director General of Police, Crimes.
- G Sparjan Kumar (IPS: 2002: KL), Inspector General of Police, Crimes I (Thiruvananthapuram), has been given full additional charges of the posts of Inspector General of Police, Crimes II (Ernakulam) & Inspector General of Police, Crimes III (Kozhikode).
