Kochi (01.02.2024): The Kerala government assured that it would consider the demand of retired IAS officers for additional benefits other than pension, similar to those enjoyed by retired Kerala High Court judges.At present, retiring Chief Justices and Judges are eligible for Rs 25,000 and Rs 20,000 per month as additional benefits, respectively. The IAS Association in Kerala demands that they should also get the same benefits.The government revealed in an RTI reply that they would examine the IAS officers' demands. The government acknowledges that it does not have data regarding the number of retired IAS personnel eligible for benefits.
