Amid the speculations over G C Murmu's joining with the Govt of India the latest grapevine indicates that Kathikithala Srinivas (IAS:1989:GJ) may be appointed as Principal Secretary, Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel. Srinivas, the incumbent Principal Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD), is supposed to equally close to the former CM Narednra Modi and the present CM Anandiben Patel. In the grapevine proves to be robust Srinivas may succeed Girish Chandra Murmu (IAS:1985:GJ), the incumbent PS to CM.
Though two more names have been doing rounds for the post namely; S Aparna (IAS:1988:GJ) who is serving as Principal Secretary, Finance and Planning and Jayanti Sriniwasan Ravi (IAS:1991:GJ) who is serving as Labour Commissioner in Gujarat.
