Under the terms of newly approved
constitution of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) the Supreme Court, on Thursday, appointed
former Supreme Court judge Justice D K Jain as the first court-appointed Ombudsman for the BCCI. Under the mandate the BCCI ombudsman will hold hearings
at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. Justice Jain’s appointment was cleared as per
the Article 40, Chapter 09 of the constitution of BCCI framed by SC under order
dated 09 Aug 2018.
