Ranchi (19.08.2924): The Jharkhand government has forwarded names of four IPS officers to UPSC for the post of DGP of the state amid controversy over the appointment of acting DGP. The state government appointed Anurag Gupta (IPS: 1990: JH) as acting DGP which was challenged in the court.Sources said that the state government has included names of Anil Palta (IPS: 1990: JH), Anurag Gupta, Prashant Singh (IPS: 1992: JH) and R K Mallick (IPS: 1992: JH) in the panel sent to the UPSC that would send back three suitable names to the Jharkhand government after a careful consideration on these names.
