New Delhi (15.08.2024): Hours within the curtailment of tenure of Nalin Prabhat (IPS: 1992: AP) as NSG DG and subsequent repatriation and inter-cadre deputation from Andhra Pradesh to AGMUT Cadre the New Delhi establishment on Independence Day appointed him as Special DG, J&K Police with immediate effect till 30.09.2024. Further, upon the retirement of the incumbent DGP Rashmi Ranjan Swain (IPS: 1991: AGMUT) on 30.09.2024 Nalin Prabhat will take over as DGP, J&K w.e.f. 01.10.2024. He has terms in service till September 2025. It may be underlined that the Centre on Wednesday late evening swung a surprise by curtailing the tenure, repatriation and Inter-cadre deputation of Nalin Prabhat who served as NSG chief since 19.04.2024.
