Rahul Gandhi will be hopping from Jaipur to Bhopal to Raipur to attend the oath-taking ceremonies of Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot in Rajasthan, Kamal Nath in MP, and Bhupesh Baghel in C'garh.

Rahul and Congress have been seen working hard to exploit the recent victories to forge a Congress-led coalition.

In his efforts, RaGa is supported by a number of political stalwarts who will be lending their weight behind his efforts through their presence in oath-taking ceremonies of Congress CMs.

Among those likely to attend the ceremonies are former prime minister H D Devegowda and Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah, RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav, and LJD leader Sharad Yadav.

Former NDA ally and Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu is likely to make it to all the three events. The Congress has also extended an invitation to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to attend the ceremonies, signalling a possible thaw in ties. AAP leader Sanjay Singh is likely to represent his party at the Jaipur ceremony.

However, RaGa is also facing obstacles to emerge as the lynchpin of opposition unity.

For instance, TMC supremo and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee will not attend any of the events and has instead directed a representative on her behalf.

Similarly, both BSP chief Mayawati and SP leader Akhilesh Yadav would not attend today’s events. The two Uttar Pradesh leaders had extended their respective parties’ support to the Congress after it fell short of a majority in MP and Rajasthan. Both Yadav and Mayawati also skipped the Opposition meet held earlier this month

Unlike the previous oath ceremony of Kumaraswamy in Karnataka, this time not all Opposition leaders will make it to the event. In the first show of strength against the BJP, a slew of Opposition leaders including Mayawati, Akhilesh Yadav, Chandrababu Naidu, Mamata Banerjee, Sitaram Yechury posed together during Kumaraswamy's swearing-in ceremony in May.
