Indianmandarins has reliably
learnt that the outgoing Union Civil Aviation Secretary Rajeeev Nayan Chaubey
(IAS:1981:TN) may be appointed Member of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Reportedly, his name for UPSC may be announced weeks ahead of his retirement
i.e. 31 January 2019.  It may be mentioned that the
Commission consists of 9 to 11 members including the Chairman appointed by The
President of India. Every member holds office for a term of six years or until
he attains the age of sixty-five years. Presently, the Commission has
nine members including Chairman. Chaubey, one announced, would be 10th
member in the Commission.
Former J&K Chief Secretary Bharat Bhushan Vyas (IAS:1986:J&K) was administered oath last week.
