New Delhi (25.01.2023): Grapevine is abuzz that Capt Amarinder Singh may replace Bhagat Singh Koshyari as Maharashtra Governor who expressed his desire to step down. It is learnt that the Centre may appoint former Punjab Chief  Minister as the new Maharashtra governor. Koshyari had courted controversy with his remarks on Chhatrapati Shivaji and the state has been witnessing protests by various groups.  This might also be the reason for his possible replacement. Amarinder Singh’s entire family joined the BJP except his wife who is a Congress MP.
