New Delhi (26.08.2025): The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) has committed to an ambitious operational revenue target of ₹8,200 crore for the fiscal year 2025-26 after signing a performance-based Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).
The MoU was formally signed by Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, MNRE, and Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director, IREDA, at the Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan in New Delhi. The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both the ministry and the state-owned public sector enterprise.
This new target marks a significant increase from the company's performance in the previous fiscal year. In FY'25, IREDA surpassed its operational revenue goal, clocking ₹6,743.32 crore against a target of ₹5,957 crore.
Beyond the revenue target, the agreement outlines a comprehensive set of performance metrics for IREDA. These include crucial financial parameters such as Return on Net Worth, Return on Capital Employed, NPA to Total Loans, Asset Turnover Ratio, and EBTDA (Earnings Before Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation).
Pradip Kumar Das, CMD of IREDA, expressed confidence in the company's ability to meet the new targets. "We are committed to sustaining our track record of excellence," he said. Das highlighted IREDA's consistent high performance, noting that the company has received an 'Excellent' rating in its MoU performance for four consecutive years, starting from FY21.
He further added that for the FY24 MoU ratings, IREDA was recognised as the top performer among NBFCs and power sector companies. The company also secured a position among the top four Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) across all sectors, based on a list of 84 CPSEs released by the Department of Public Enterprises.
