Sathya Prakash Tucker (IAS:1981:AP) continues as Chief Secretary to the Govt of Andhra Pradesh. Tucker was given three months extension in services w.e.f. 01 September 2016.   Rajiv Sharma (IAS:1982:TL) continues as Chief Secretary to the Govt of Telangana w.e.f 01 Sept 2016. He was given extension in service for second time.   ITBP Director General Krishna Chaudhary (IPS:1979:BH) gets additional charge of DG CISF. The post fell vacant on yesterday with the retirement of Surender Singh (IPS:1981:WB).   BSF DG Krishan Kumar Sharma (IPS:1982:RJ) gets additional charge of DG NSG. NSG top post fell vacant after R C Tayal (IPS:1980:AM) superannuated yesterday.   Krishan Kumar Sharma (IRS C&CE:1981), Member CBEC, received farewell yesterday. He had applied for VRS which was accepted. He was appointed as Member on November 2015.   Sanjoy Mookerjee (IRAS:1978), Financial Commissioner Railway Board, received farewell on 31 August 2016. He had applied for VRS three months before his retirement.   K B Nanda (IRAS:1978) to hold the additional charge of Financial Commissioner Railway Board vice Sanjoy Mookerjee. Nanda is Additional Member (Finance) in Railway Board.   A K Srivastava (GM, SPMCIL) took over the charge as Director (Tech), Security Printing and Minting Corporation.   Gujarat Governor Om Prakash Kohli and Maharashtra Governor C V Rao discharge the functions of the Governor of Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu respectively.   Sushil Kumar (IAS:1987:TR), on compulsory wait in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, has been repatriated to parent cadre.   Former Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary K Gnanadesikan (IAS:1982:TN) and Commissioner of Geology and Mining Atul Anand (IAS:1994:TN) have been suspended along with six other government officials pending an inquiry into certain charges allegedly linked to "beach sand mining" in the southern districts.     Click web-link for top appointments in Govt of India issued on 31 August 2016:
