New Delhi (05.08.2025): In a first such kind of order, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved ex-post facto assignment of additional charge of the post of Chairperson, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to four IAS officers in a single order. The period during which they were assigned the responsibility is mentioned against their names. The names of these officers are as follows.
  1. Rajesh Bhushan (IAS: 1987: BH), the then Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare from 28 11.2021 to 31.07.2023
  2. Sudhansh Pant (IAS: 1991: RJ), the then Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare from 01.08.2023 to 30.12.2023
  3. Apurva Chandra (IAS: 1988: MH), the then Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare from 31.12 2023 to 30.09.2024
  4. Punya Salila Srivastava (IAS: 1993: AGMUT), Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare from 01.10.2024 to 31.07.2025
Extension of additional charge of the post of Chairperson, FSSAI to Punya Salila Srivastava, Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare has further been extended for six months w.e.f. 01.08.2025.
