Patna (04.08.2025): Pratyaya Amrit (IAS: 1991: BH) has been appointed as the next Chief Secretary of Bihar. The Bihar government has issued a notification appointing him to the post. He will take over on September 1, 2025, after the retirement of incumbent CS Amrit Lal Meena (IAS: 1989: BH).Pratyay will be functioning as Officer on Special Duty in the office of CS till the superannuation of the present CS. Pratyaya Amrit previously held multiple key portfolios, including Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary for the Health and Disaster Management departments.
