The
1984-batch IAS officer of AGMUT cadre Sanjay Pratap Singh, who was caught
red-handed accepting a bribe of over Rs two lakhs, will be produced in a
special CBI court today. The Delhi government's principal secretary in the
Department of Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Minorities, was
arrested by CBI on Tuesday and given a day's CBI custody on Wednesday. Delhi's
deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia said he had written to the Ministry of
Home Affairs (MHA) to suspend the officer. The accused officer is alleged to
own huge movable and immovable properties in Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon
