The NaMo administration is believed to have constituted a High-level-committee to resolve the long pending HR issues related to IRS Customs & Central Excise. Reportedly, the five-member committee met first on 10th of February in the evening - the day IRS C&CE Association met the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and reiterated the 'urgent need to carry out HR reforms'.
The committee headed by Dr. P K Mishra comprises of four members namely; Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia (IAS:1981:GJ), Bhaskar Khulbe (IAS:1983: WB), DoPT Secretary B P Sharma (IAS:1981:BH) and CBEC Chairman Najib Shah (IRS C&CE:1979).
Reportedly, the committee has been considering the issues raised by the disparity in cadres calling for immediate DPC for all vacant posts and parity with counterparts ensuring at least five functional promotions.
