As Indianmandarins had reported earlier the Himachal government appointed Anil Kumar Khachi (IAS:1986:HP) as the new Chief Secretary of the state. Anil Khachi earlier held the charge of additional chief secretary (Finance, Planning, Statistics and 20-Point Programme). He replaces Shrikant Baldi (IAS:1985:HP) who retired on Tuesday.

State government also announced transfers and postings of some other senior IAS officers. ACS (Forest and Language, Art, Culture) Ram Subhag Singh has been given additional charge of (MPP and power) besides the charge of chairman of HP State Electricity Board Limited. ACS (Health and Family Welfare) R D Dhiman has been given additional charge of Tourism and Civil Aviation Department.
