Withthe entire country looking at Justice Jagdeep Singh ahead of the sentencing of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, the mettle of certain officials is becoming visible. Atul Kumar (IAS), Deputy Commissioner of Rohtak, and Pankaj Nain (IPS) SP, Rohtak have a difficult task of preventing a repeat of the last week violence. Kumar (IAS) has already warned that those who may dare create trouble should expect bullets. The DC's stern warning comes following the mayhem in Panchkula on Friday where Dera followers went on a rampage after their sect chief's conviction in a rape case. The violence at Panchkula and sect headquarters at Sirsa had left 38 dead and over 250 injured. Last week, Chandigarh DGP Tejendra Luthra (IPS:1990:UT) showed a great presence of mind and kept the Chandigarh situation completely under control. However, the same can't be said about Haryana DGP B S Sandhu (IPS:1984:HY). Nevertheless, Sandhu is said to have learnt his lesson and has tightened the arrangement to prevent a repeat of last week incident. Above all, the ability of Haryana CS  and Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Ram Niwas (IAS:1985:HY), would also be tested.
