The term of appointment of Devendra Kumar Pathak (Retd IPS:1979:AM) as Chairman, Ceasefire Monitoring Group / Cease Fire Supervisory Board (CFMG/CFSB) was on 24 August 2017 extended for a periof og one year w.e.f. 10 August 2017. Pathak headed the Border Security Force until 29 February 2016.
It may be noted that Ceasefire Monitoring Group was created in 2001 in order to formalise a permanent peace accord with Naga rebels. The new Naga Ceasefire Chairman will hold office till 09 August 2018.
