The NaMo administration on Tuesday announced the appointment of RSS
ideologue Swaminathan Gurumurthy and Satish Kashinath Marathe as Part-time Non-Official
Director on the Central Board of Reserve Bank of India for a period of four
years. With these two members on the board, the total government appointed directors on the RBI board has reached ten. The government has two government officials on the board. Gurumurthy is the editor of Tamil political weekly Thuglaq. He is also
the co-convenor of RSS affiliate Swadeshi Jagran Manch. Marathe is the patron
of Sahakar Bharati an NGO actively supporting the co-operative moment in India.
