The Gujarat government issued on Wednesday a notification extending the term of IPS officer N K Amin, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Mahisagar district, after his superannuation. The extension will be applicable from September 1, 2016. Amin reached his superannuation on Wednesday. Amin, originally an MBBS doctor, joined Gujarat Police as Deputy Superintendent of Police through Gujarat Public Service Commission. Recently, he was discharged from the Sohrabuddin encounter case by a special Mumbai court.
