New Delhi (29.01.2022): The Central government has increased the total number of allocations of IPS officers in Uttar Pradesh by 24. Now, the number of IPS officers of UP cadre would be 541 which was earlier 517. A notification in this regard has been issued by the government. The number of posts of SP, IG, DIG has also been increased. This review has been made after it was done in 2014 however the present review was due in 2019 and would be considered from then only.
