Former IPS Mishra and IRS Kumar win elections in Bihar

Patna (15.11.2025): The BJP fielded two bureaucrats in the Bihar Assembly elections – Anand Mishra (Retd IPS: 2011: AM) and Sujit Kumar (Retd IRS: 2001) from Buxar and Gaura Bauram Assembly constituencies, respectively. They managed to win their seats comfortably. Sujit Kumar took VRS just before the elections forgoing all pension benefits while Mishra resigned just before 2024 Lok Sabha elections. It is likely that Sujit Kumar may get ministerial berth in the new Bihar government.
