Guwahati (29.03,2023): Former Director General of Police (DGP) Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta (IPS: 1988: AM) has been appointed as the Chief Information Commissioner of Assam. Mahanta retired as Assam DGP in January. On January 31, former Special DGP of Assam, Gyanendra Pratap Singh took charge as the new DGP after Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta’s term ended.
