Indianmandarins has reliably
learned that Ajeya Babu Kallam (Retd IAS:1983: AP), former Chief Secretary of Andhra
Pradesh, may take a plunge in politics. Reportedly, he is in touch with BJP
stalwarts, though it was Chandrababu Naidu who had made him Chief Secretary in
the last week of February last year - merely 30 days ahead of his retirement
scheduled on 31 March 2017. Speaking at a convention
organized by Jana Chaitanya Vedika (JCV), Kallam, on Sunday, said that
corruption had reached an alarming level as everyone is forced to pay monthly
mamools for anything and everything to MLAs or their henchmen. He was speaking
on the topic of `Save Andhra Pradesh’. Sounding purely political, he
made several statements. For instance, he said that the State had never
witnessed such a gross splurging of tax money on programs designed to achieve
the political objectives of one party. This has signaled that he is
willing to go an extra mile to join the BJP if the latter accepts him.
