New Delhi (31.01.2026): The Ministry of Home Affairs has promoted five AGMUT cadre IPS officers to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP), including three officers who have been granted proforma promotion while on the Central deputation.Dr Shiv Darshan Singh Jamwal (IPS: 1995: AGMUT) and David Lalrinsanga (IPS: 1995: AGMUT) have been promoted to the DGP rank in Level 16 of the pay matrix. Three other officers -- Satish Shriramaji Khandare (IPS: 1995: AGMUT), Rajesh Kumar (IPS: 1995: AGMUT) and Tsewang Namgyal Kalon (IPS: 1995: AGMUT) -- have been accorded proforma promotion.
