V B Fadnavis has taken over as Regional Executive Director (South) of NTPC at Secunderabad. Prior to this posting, Fadnavis served as Executive Director of NTPC Sipat. An M.Tech in Thermal Engineering from IIT, New Delhi, Fadnavis joined NTPC as Engineering Executive Trainee in 1979. He has rich experience in operation and maintenance, project management of gas based units, thermal power plants including super critical units.
In a career spanning over three and half decades in NTPC, he has held several important positions and worked as head of project of Auraya gas based station in UP, Talcher Super Thermal Power Station, Kaniha in Orissa and Sipat Super Thermal Power Station in Chattisgarh.
