Immediately after giving a fresh lease of life to the public-sector headhunter (PESB) by appointing its Chairman & a Member the NaMO administration appears to have signalled its intent to clear the logjam of PESB recommendations and subsequent appointments at Board level positions in several PSUs. The ACC cleared the appointments of eight Director-level positions and gave five-year long extension to a Director under Ministry of Coal, Fertilizers, Defence and Atomic Energy. Accordingly;

• S V Rambabu appointed to the post Director Finance & Commercial, Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) under the Department of Defence Production. Presently, Rambabu is DGM, Rastriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL).
• Jagdish Prasad Gupta (GM, HSL) appointed Director (Corporate Planning & Personnel) in HSL under the Department of Defence Production.
• Vinay Kumar Katyal (GM, BEL) appointed Director (Bangalore Complex) Bharat Electronics Limited under the Department of Defence Production for a period ending 31 July 2023.
• Suresh Shivayya Vastrad (ED, BEML) appointed Director (Rail & Metro Business) in Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) under the Department of Defence Production till superannuation.
• S R Narasimhan (GM, POSOCO) appointed Director (Systems Operation) Power System Operation Limited (POSOCO) till the age of retirement.
• Manoj Kumar (GM, ECL) appointed Director (Technical) Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) till his retirement.
• Prabhakar Chowki (GM, Coal India) appointed Director (Mines) NLC India Limited for a period ending 31 August 2021.
• K U Thankachen (CMD, Railside Warehouse Corporation Ltd) appointed Director (Marketing), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited (RCFL) till the date of his superannuation.
• Tenure of Kishore Rungta, Director (Finance) Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) was extended for a period of five years beginning 01 February 2018 under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE).
