Dr A B P Pandey (IAS:1984:MH) has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Unique Identification Authority of India.
Presently Dr Pandey is serving as Director General and Mission Director, UIDAI.
In compliance to a legislation passed recently in the parliament the post of DG& MD has been re-designated as CEO.
In addition, Pandey has been holding the additional charge of Chairman, UIDAI; a post which fell vacant after Nandan Nilekani resigned after joining the Congress Party in March 2014 to contest Lok Sabha elections from Bengaluru.
