Shimla (17.10.2025): Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel)
and Chairman, SJVN Foundation, SJVN inaugurated various developmental works in
the 1500 MW NJHPS project area. Under this programme, he laid down the
foundation stone of the ancient Kothi located in the premises of Devi Sahiba
Lati Jahari, Kharkag temple. On this occasion, Sharma flagged off an electrical vehicle
hired for the project works. During the programme, he also planted saplings
under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. In his address, Ajay Kumar Sharma said that SJVN is not only
implementing developmental activities in its project areas, but is also making
continuous efforts to preserve the local culture and traditions. He informed
that SJVN will provide complete financial assistance of more than Rs 36 lakh
under its Corporate Social Responsibility policy for the renovation of Devi
Sahiba Lati Jahari, Kharkag Temple. On this occasion, Project Head, NJHPS Rajeev Kapoor, various
heads of departments of NJHPS and local dignitaries were present. SJVN is
committed to sustainable and inclusive growth through CSR initiatives in areas
such as education, health, skill development and environment conservation.
Through SJVN Foundation, the company is building a better future by empowering
local communities.
