New Delhi (31.01.2023): Having received the farewell parade and 'guard of honor' early morning today the incumbent Director General of Indian Coast Guards Virendra Singh Pathania is all set to hang his boots today evening.Even though it was a scheduled vacancy at the top rank, the Ministry of Defence is yet to arrive at a decision over the name of the next DG for ICG. In the meanwhile, the Ministry of Defence has assigned the additional charge of the post of DG to the senior most ADG Rakesh Pal for a period of three months. Reportedly, the appointment of a full-fledged DG will be cleared this month.
