New Delhi (26.12.2023): Ahead of the retirement of Chandra Prakash Goel (IFS: 1986: UP), the incumbent DG of Forests, this month end the New Delhi establishment on Tuesday appointed IFS officer Jitendra Kumar (1987: AGMUT) as new Director General of Forests and Special Secretary to the Govt of India. Currently, Kumar is serving as Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Itanagar), Arunachal Pradesh. He will Special Secretary. He would have approx. a year long tenure to serve as DG Forests.
