The newly appointed Adviser to the UT Administrator (Chandigarh) Vijay Kumar Dev (IAS:1987:AGMUT) is all set to start his new stint in Chandigarh from December, 24. He is expected to take charge tomorrow. He will succeed Kamal Kumar Sharma (IAS:1983:AGMUT) who had vacated the post w.e.f. October 20 this year.
While serving as Chief Election Officer, Delhi he took many initiatives which further manifested into laudable voter-turnout. For the ever first time an Assembly constituency (in 2013 elections) witnessed real-time monitoring of polling details and patterns by means of on-line connectivity to the control-room of Delhi Election Commission.
